Bella Vista, AR – The Women’s All Pro Tour is set to head to Bella Vista, AR June 24th – 27th at Bella Vista Country Club and Scotsdale Golf Course for the Cooper Communities NWA Classic. The players will play their first two rounds at Scotsdale Golf Course before moving over to Bella Vista Country Club for their last two rounds.

“Bella Vista is a great golf loving community. We are extremely excited to host the WAPT for the first time,” Says Alex Sanford Head Pro of Scotsdale Golf Course. “Players are going to need to play very strategically around this golf course in order to shoot well.”

The tournament will feature upwards of 75 golfers looking to take home their share of the $35,000 purse, with first winning $7,500. The event is 72-holes of stroke play format and the field will be cut down to the top 40% of the field including ties, after 54-holes.

“The members are excited for the All Pro Tour to come as they mark off their calendars,” said Director of Golf Darryl Muldoon. “We have over 400 volunteers signed up to work the tournament throughout the week. This year with the WAPT here they will be split among the two courses so the women will experience the same hospitality the men have the past few years. We have over 118 golf groups throughout the area who will come out and watch the pros play.”

The WAPT field for the Cooper Communities NWA Classic has many familiar faces, but no one in the field has won a tournament this year. A new champion will be crowned for the 2020 WAPT season. The competition will be tough with LPGA player Maria Fassi (Davenport, FL) making her second career WAPT start 40 minutes from were she graduated from college after winning the 2019 NCAA National Championship. Amateur Alexa Pano (Lake Worth, FL) is also making her second career WAPT start after finishing in third in her first event in Anna, TX. Both Karah Sanford (Sevierville, TN) and Sydney Youngblood (Durant, OK) will be in the field as well. Both Youngblood and Sanford finished T3 in last weeks Paris Championship showing great form and will look to carry that form into this week.

A schedule of the week’s events can be found here. Tournament play will begin on Wednesday with tee times starting at 7:30 a.m. CT with a two-tee start.  Following the final round Saturday there will be an award presentation outside the Bella Vista Country Club.
