Who is eligible to play in an WAPT event?
The WAPT is open to professionals who are 16 years of age or older and eligible ranked amateurs, 14 years of age or older. Foreign players are required to be internationally recognized in order to play on the WAPT.
Can I play in a WAPT event as an amateur?
Yes amateurs may participate as long as they are 14 years of age by the first round of the tournament, And fall into one of the following criteria;
- In the Top 75 on current Golfweek Collegiate Rankings, or
- In the Top 150 on the current WAGR
- An invite by a tournament sponsor
If I am a member of the Symetra or LPGA, do I get a discount on my Membership?
Yes. 2021 members of the Symetra Tour or LPGA Tour may join the WAPT for $325 per year. (Normal pricing is $450)
How do I Earn One of the Symetra Tour Exemptions?
The top Two (2) finishers of each WAPT tournament will earn an exemption into a future Symetra Tour event. Exemption will NOT be passed down, even if one of the exemption earners is already eligible in the Symetra Tour field. These exemptions are open and available for all players in a tournament.
How does the Race To Stage II work?
The Race to Stage II is an annual points race awarding the top five (5) players and ties an exemption to Stage II of LPGA qualifying. To be eligible you MUST be a Member of the WAPT in 2021. Exemption will NOT be passed down, even if one of the exemption earners are already eligible in the Stage II field. Nonmembers do not receive points during the year and are not eligible for these spots.
Do I have to pay for a practice round and range balls?
Practice rounds are FREE to all players that want to walk. A fee will apply to those players that want to rent a golf cart – fee usually around $15-25. Callaway Chrome Soft range balls are free all week.
Are there cuts and how many players make the CUT?
Yes just similar to the LPGA Qualifying School, the WAPT does cut the field after 54-holes. The top 40% of the starting field and ties after 54 holes will make the CUT. All pros making the cut will earn a check.
Are yardage books available at each site?
Yes. A limited number of books are available each week. They are sold in the WAPT trailer on Monday and Tuesday. Books are $25.
Will private housing be available?

How will I receive my earnings from a tournament?
Unless you are a Foreign Player, ALL earnings are distributed by Direct Deposit 5 days after the final round. Checks will only be mailed to Foreign players without US Tax ID numbers.
If I qualify or gain entry into a Symetra or LPGA Tour event will my entry fee be refunded?
Yes. Please contact our office at 817-567-3654 as soon as you find out you are eligible for the LPGA/Symetra Tour event. There is no fee to transfer the entry to another event, but if you request a refund, there is a $50 cancellation fee. Please note, no refunds or tranfers will be given once a player has teed off at in a WAPT event.
Where do I get my member packet?
When are tee times posted?
The 1st & 2nd round tee times will be posted 36 hours prior to the start of each event. Pairings will be posted at the Tour trailer, texted to players, available online at www.wapt.golf at each tournament’s information page and on the Tour’s app.
How do I withdraw from a tournament?
New in 2021: Withdrawals will be accepted for any reason when notice is given by 5:00 PM, seven (7) days before the first round. Players can transfer their entry fee to a future tournament at no additional cost, or get a refund back to their credit card. There will be a $50 administrative fee for all refunds. Players MUST call the tour office at 817-567-3654 to withdraw.
For withdraws within seven (7) days of the tournament, the player will forfeit her entry fee to this tournament. Medical and personal withdraws after the deadline will be evaluated case-by-case, and if accepted, there will be a $50 administrative fee.
No refund or credit will be offered once a player has teed off during tournament play. No Shows will NOT receive a refund or credit.
What is the proper attire while playing in an event?
Proper golf attire is required. The LPGA dress code will apply at each event.
Are range finders allowed during tournament play?
The use of distance-measuring devices will be permitted in all WAPT events. The devices with slope, must be able to turn off this feature to be eligible.
Are golf carts allowed?
No. Unless otherwise stated, all WAPT events will be walking. Carts will be allowed during practice rounds and pro-ams.
Are pull / push carts allowed?
Yes. And caddies are allowed to use push carts. However, electric and motorized carts are not allowed. We also have 10 Clicgear pushcarts that may be rented each week for $40 for the week.
Am I required to have a caddy?
No, you are allowed to carry your own bag. If you bring a caddy, they must wear Caddy Bibs during tournament play. Bibs are supplied at the starting tee. And caddies ARE allowed to use push carts.
Is there a host hotel provided at each event?
