First Glance: Redbird Championship

(NORMAL, IL) – The ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour continues with its seventh tournament of the season in Normal, Illinois for the Redbird Championship. The playing field looks to take on another Callaway Race To Stage II week as they compete for the title at Weibring Golf Club. This will be the first year Weibring GC  has welcomed the ANNIKA WAPT.

CALLAWAY RACE TO STAGE II STANDINGS GOING INTO WEEK FIVE

After the first six tournaments of the 2024 ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour season, the Callaway Race to Stage II standings have familiar names in the top five. 

After finishing second in the FCA Women’s Championship, Nannette Hill (Jupiter, FL) remains in the number one standings spot with 1,483 points. Hill’s season has included a win at the Mackie Construction Pro Golf Classic and four top 10 finishes. Hailee Cooper (Montgomery, TX) also remains in the second spot after winning two out of the three tournaments she has played for the season. With claiming titles at L’Auberge Lake Charles Championship and the Oscar Williams Classic, the Montgomery native sits at 1,090 points.

Action gets underway at 7:30 A.M. CT all four days of play. A cut will be made after 36-holes to the top 40% of the starting field, including ties. Amateurs are included in the cut number. The field will be repaired before the final two rounds based on score and players will go off in reverse horseshoe with leaders teeing off last.  A trophy presentation by the clubhouse will follow the final round of play.  Attendance is free to the public.
